Despite his young age, John In Eichen performed in a lot of major parts with incredible success: Baron Ochsin Rosenkavalier (with the National Theatre in Mannheim and later as a cover for Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic in Baden-Baden), Gurnemanzand Titurelin Parsifal, Fasoltand Hundingin Wagner`s Ring (in Strassbourg, Mannheim and Darmstadt), as well as Sarastroand Roccoin Darmstadt. 

He has sung extensively also in the italian and french repertoire: Bancoin Verdi`s Macbeth in Milano, Ramfisin a production by Calixto Bieito in Basel, Zaccariain Nabucco, as well as Philippand Il Grand Inquisitorin Don Carlos, Raimondoin Lucia di Lammermoor. 

In the french repertoire he performed Brogniin La Juive and the title role in Massenet`s Don Quichotte.

John In Eichen was born in Lucerne. He studied in Basel with Elisabeth Weingartner (Voice) and Rainer Altorfer (role coaching), and recently in Milan with Bonaldo Giaiotti, the famous bass from the Metropolitan Opera New York.

He gave his debut at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg (near Berlin) in 2006 as Don Alfonso in Cosi fan tutte. 

Following engagements included Basel, Hannover and finally the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf,where he sang his first Mozart-Figaro, Masetto and Haraschta in The cunning little vixen. 

From 2010-2013 he sang in Darmstadt, where he sang Sarastro, Rocco, Fasolt, Hunding, Zaccaria, Raimondo and Ramfis. 

2013-2017 he spent four years at the Nationaltheater Mannheim where he sang Ochs and Gurnemanz for the first time, among numerous roles like Grossinquisitor, Hunding, Sarastro and Gremin. 

2016 he worked  with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic Baden-Baden Festival. 

He also sang concerts, including the Verdi Requiem and Beethoven`s 9th symphony in Frankfurt. 

In 2017, he sangat the theatre St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Currently, he works as a freelance artist.

He sang in productions by Peter Konwitschny, Christoph Loy, Guy Joosten, Christoph Nel, Calixto Bieito, Achim Freyer, Brigitte Fassbaender and Dietrich Hilstorf. He has worked with the following conductors: Sir Simon Rattle (with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra),Dan Ettinger, Hans Wallat, Gerd Albrecht, MaurizioBarbacini, Armin Jordan, Constantin Trinks, John Fiore, Ira Levin and Alexander Soddy.
